What should be done to prevent recurrence of UTI?

Antibiotics taken after 12 weeks of pregnancy, in 98% cases do not cause any problem for the fetus. The recurring urinary infection requires that testing for diabetes be done. Recurring infection can be prevented by alternating alkalinizing agent as well as an acidifying agent to be given on alternate days so that the infection does not occur again along with plenty of oral fluids.
